Please help me!!!!

I had already change the Mysql root password. I thought it is the same mysql root password and and the system root password.

pls. give the steps by steps how can i change root password?

Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS
Vicidial VERSION: 2.6-32-40
BUILD: 130414-1924
asterisk 1.4.39.1-vici
Clean Install
Single Server
Intel® Xeon® 3400 Series Quad-core

this is the situation

i had already change the mysql root password. because when i got to phpmyadmin user root i can use my new password already that i did change
but when i login to server via ssh
User :root
Password - new password that i change i cant login
but when i use my old password i can login

how can i change the password of the root in the dialer.

It sounds like you are confusing the ssh password and the mysql password.

to change the root ssh password log in via ssh using the old password and then do:

passwd root

Oh..., yeah, you're right..., I did make the assumption he was talking 'bout Mysql.
