Confusing problem with inbound groups having no voice

Postby kwagga » Tue Oct 22, 2013 6:33 am

Hi all,

I have a problem that is driving me nuts.

We have a customer with a vicibox implementation: Version: 2.6-392a, Build: 130102-1135.

The problem is that if I configure the inbound to route to an extension I get audio and it works perfectly. If I however configure the system to route inbound to an in-group my agent phone rings and everything seems to work OK, but there is no audio and after a few seconds the system hangs the call up.

I have gone as far as to follow the first inbound tutorial in the manager manual, resulting in the same outcome.

The same dailler is running outbound campaigns successfully for some time now.

I am routing the inbound SIP channel though an asterisk based BRI gateway on the same LAN, no natting or firewalls. I know that the problem is not the inbound because as mentioned before, if I configure the dialler to route the call to an extension then all is fine.

I would appreciate your insight very much.

Thank you,
Corne

Please also post the Vicibox Version (you did post the Vicidial version with build, but the Installer often makes a difference as well, so the Vicibox version ... iso name? splash screen content stating version? can be helpful). Back to our regularly scheduled programming!

Asterisk CLI from two calls: one that has sound and one that does not. I don't think we need sip debug yet, but be prepared in case there is no valid reason on this run. Please don't post 3000 lines of unrelated code (calls other than these two test calls, registration attempts, etc).

I've not experienced quite this issue before, but similar problems are usually firewall (not likely this time, but worth mentioning) or a .conf file from the wrong build of Vicidial with a slight difference that causes the call in some pathways to not be "answered", thus no Audio start.

Happy Hunting! 8-)
