Transfer Buttons Disabled...any ideas how to enable??

Hello:
I am using Vicidial 5.0.1 from the vicidial iso preload iso.

I have went thru each of my campaigns and users and ENABLED call transfer conferences options. but when my agents log into a campaign and try to do a manual dial (for testing) and try to transfer the call to a inbound campaign, the "transfer conference" buttons dont work.

Any ideas how to fix this?

if you use the "dial override" method for manual dialing that is the result. that's what the "override" means. vicidial has no knowledge of the call and cannot control it.

that being said: how (exactly, button for button) did you "try to do a manual dial for testing"? 8-)

Hello Bill:

Thanks for the quick response. Okay, as you probably know me by now i did my usual post a question then kept playing with it until i figure out what was happening...and as you said. When i "enabled" my agents to be able to dial manually i also turned on that manual dial overide option (for the life of me i can't find where it is to turn it off and i know i saw it alteast 20x earlier). So as i was placing my "test call" (ie logging in as a agent, manually dialing my cellphone in the top portion (not at the bottom where it says dial overide), and watching to see if the buttons became active) nothing would happen...of course because the system wasnt listening to the call...right?

So, the next step i tried was to create a "test list" and copy my live campaign as a "test camaign" and let the autodial run. And it didnt catch the first 2 calls but the survey played on the 3-4 try...another issue in itself....but when it connected i heard the survey and transfered thru to my agent and miraculously the transfer conference button went active!

So, it works when i use the campaign auto dial, but, it doesnt work for manual calls!

Hey guys, having the same problem over here:

Here is the step by step:
1. Log in as agent
2. While Paused press manual dial button
3. Enter Phone number in non-override box
4. Press Dial
5. Call is connected and the transfer buttons as well as the park button remain disabled.

Interestingly enough, the Agent API method through URL does work, but it is not feasible to use that method in this situation. We really need to get the agent screen working right.

I got the same issue.

I installed Vicibox 5.0.3 preload iso.

When on manual dial, the "Transfer Conf" is disabled even if the calls were successfully connected. I didn't happen on the earlier version of vicibox.

I note you did not post your precise (step by step) method of re-creating the issue.

You should note that many posts have stated "same issue" and then found out that their problem was unrelated except for this shared symptom.

It can happen if your dialplan entry is not right. It can happen if you use the override option on manual dial ... all sorts of errors can cause this symptom (does your Admin->Server-> Asterisk version match what version asterisk states on startup of "asterisk -R"?).

So ... share your step-by-step calling method with the problem moment described clearly. You could also post your dialplan entry (from your carrier) and a CLI of a sample failed call (not 3000 lines of unrelated code, mind you, just a controlled situation with just this one call in the CLI to prove your point).

Then we can see which of the likely problems happens to fit your scenario and get you going. Not that it's impossible that it's a bug ... but it doesn't seem to work out that way usually. 8-)

sorry here it is:

Fresh installed Vicibox 5.0.3 preload iso
1. Setup Campaign, Group, Users (Vicidial Transfer set to: 1) - enable alter phone, data...
2. Setup Carrier

Manual Dial
1. Login as agent
2. Put the number on "Phone" field
3. DialCode: 1
4. Click 'Fast Dial"
5. Call successfully connected
6. But the following buttons are still inactive: Park Call and Transfer Conf

I am trying to test call transfer to outside number but the Transfer Conf is inactive or unclickable.

1) I don't see any cli output or your dialplan
2) try clicking on "Manual dial" as the previous poster did and do not use the dial override field to enter the phone number (after all, you said you had the same problem ... but you're dialing with a different method ...).
