I replaced the content in
./agc and
./vicidial folders with the content of the folders
./agc_es and
./vicidial_es, because is the way that I found to change the agents and administration GUI to a new language. This procedure works fine, and provide both links that you recommend - english & spanish - there is no matter with it.
What I'm trying to do is change so many words in the Admin and Agents GUI that were translated from english to spanish with a dicctionary definition, because many of them don't represent the common jargon of the call centers (in spanish). The modifications done in the language files recommended (es_language.txt and es_language_admin.txt )are not applied to the updated system.
I think it's necesary do this modification for two reasons:
* The system will be easily deployed in production enviroments when agents and supervisors who speaks spanish are required.
* For the sake of the crowd. To benefit the Vicidial community it's necesary correct this issues and include it in future distributions.
After review the actual spanish version, we found that the agents GUI were corrected by human translators in previous versions so it requires few updates, instead the administrator GUI requires a huge modification because it's faraway of the expected (I refer only to the language used in it -
the application surpassed our expectations.
).
We are considering about our correction of this issues that is necesary send it to the administrators, because that make us part of the Vicidial project and give us confidence to consider upgrade our systems with an application that is upgrading with us.
