agent performance report showing wrong times

goautodial 2.0 ce| vicidial version VERSION: 2.4-331a |BUILD: 110822-1204
| 2port digium E1 card | centos 5.5

hi

i have downloaded the agent performance report, but if i open the report in the csv format the talk value showing wrong time.
like in report it showing as 29:22 (mm:ss) , but in the csv its showing 29:22:00 (hh:mm:ss) .

if i click the that particular cell the the formula bar showing the below details
01-01-1900 5:22:00 AM

is it problem with my ms office or the vicidial downloding wrongly.

also remember that when you "open" a csv in excel, it will import data and "decide" what format it is. for time cells you should override the default "general" for that field and change it to "text" as there is no method in Excel to auto-detect a time field so it will always be wrong. if you override to "text", it will show the actual value instead of "guessing" and converting it to an incorrectly valued date field.

ms excel issue

hi william

after changing the cell format to text the values are totally changed
its showing something 1.99999999 29:22 time value.

but i have notiiced that this error is not due to the vicidial, its problem with the ms excell.

if any values in the column is above 24 minutes it is showing this error and putting 00 as sec and converting 29 min to 29 hours 22 min 00 sec.

by using the custome format [h]:mm it is resolved for the columns having the mm:ss but in the column having hh:mm:ss is also get changed to mm:ss

you have to make the change DURING import (not after the file has been opened). Welcome to Microsoft.

You have to specify the field data types when importing the data into Excel. You cannot "open when downloading" or the fields will already be defined incorrectly.

Download the file and open the file from within Excel by using "File -> Open" in Excel and choosing the file you just downloaded.

Excel will bring up the Import Wizard and you can then define the cell data type during the import wizard process.

Any other way and Excel will "guess" at the data type during import and it will be (obviously) wrong.
