Extended ALT Number for Manual Dial

Hi,

I am trying for our agents to make extended alt dial when they are in the manual dial mode. I have found the following setting in campaign details page.

Agent Screen Extended Alt Dial - This feature allows for agents to access extended alternate phone numbers for leads beyond the standard Alt Phone and Address3 fields that can be used in VICIDIAL for phone numbers beyond the main phone number. The Extended phone numbers can be dialed automatically using the Auto-Alt-Dial feature in VICIDIAL Campaign settings, but enabling this Agent Screen feature will also allow for the agent to call these numbers from their agent screen as well as edit their information.

As per the above setting when the agents are in the manual dial mode they should be able to dial extended numbers in vicidial_list_alt_phones. But when I log in to agent screen it is only displaying Main Number, ALT Number and address3.

Please help me to understand the above option.

That feature was never finished, so it is not functional beyond the MAIN, ALT, ADDR3 options.

Nope, and it probably never will be. MULTI_LEAD Auto Alt Dial has pretty much replaced the basic auto-alt dialing by all of our clients that used it, and that included manual dialing.

Thank you for the speedy response Matt, much appreciated. Could somebody please explain in detail how to load the extended alt dial leads. I understand these cannot be loaded using the web based lead loader.

look at the instructions for the tool that actually does load them, and you'll likely find out how.

that would be the command line lead loader.

nice thing about that tool is that it can be configured to grab a file from an FTP source and it can auto-create a new list each time it runs AND it can be put on a timer ... so loading leads can be fully automated.

that (along with many other pretty toys) is in /usr/share/astguiclient

execute with "--help" on the command line ...
