Manual Dial to Transfer issue

This is not a huge deal, but during the rare times we need it, it would be nice to have. If anyone has time to answer it, that would be great, if not, that is fine to. I noticed a while back when i try to transfer a manual dial call, the transfer-conf was greyed out. I figured it was a UI issue, but then i seen something else. When i would call, and connect to the customer, it would still say waiting on ring, then after a minute it would show dial timeout, during the active call

I seen a few fixes that i tried, like admin>server> making sure the asterisk version matched up (it did)

The steps i took to get to to that point is this

*manual dialed phone number (my cell)
connected to the cell
vicidial still showed (waiting for)
no option to use transfer-conf

So in short, When the manual dial goes to a live call, it just saids waiting for ring.

This is not a game breaking issue, but it is annoying

Did you press the "override" button during the dial?

Usual behavior for manual dials is to allow transfer as soon as the call is answered. May be a good idea to upgrade and re-test the feature. Or perhaps build a virtual server just to test this feature (if it works, great reason to upgrade to the SVN revision level of the virtual server you built).

Did you change IP address ??
Please check IP admin>conference>Show VICIDIAL Conferences
1.in linux console type mysql -p
2. password:vicidialnow
3. mysql>use asterisk
4. mysql >UPDATE conferences SET server_ip='your current serverip' where server_ip='';
5. mysql>UPDATE vicidial_conferences SET server_ip='your currentserverip' where server_ip='';
6. quit

note : replace the you current server ip to your server ip address
for eg if ur server ip is 10.10.10.100
then
use mysql>UPDATE conferences SET server_ip='10.10.10.100' where server_ip='';

Actually, I recall this was also often related to the Asterisk version being incorrect in admin->servers for 5.0.3 Vicibox installs.
