monitorDONE/ORIG/ left over recordings

Postby Rudolfmdlt » Thu Jan 30, 2014 5:54 am

Hi People,
Version: 2.8b0.5 | SVN Version: 2020 |DB Schema Version: 1355 |DB Schema Update Date: 2013-09-10 16:53:47
Cluster: 1 Db + 1 Web + 4 Diallers + 1 Archive

What is the purpose of the monitorDONE/ORIG/ folder? An assumption is that this is where calls go after the in and out streams have been mixed, but just before mp3 conversion?

I am asking because I am some files in this folder seem to lag behind. My recording file name uses this convention:
FULLDATE_CUSTPHONE_AGENT_CAMPAIGN_VENDORLEADCODE
20140129-141118_08000006003_3000_1005_20800007-all.wav

and from the full date there are a couple recordings from each day since the system went live that stay in the folder. Below are som eexamples. The numbers have been scrambled, but I have not touched the "punctuation". :)

Code: Select all
20131021-152340_0790690000   _3902_1003_19224575-all.wav
20131022-072825_(072) 292-0000_3901_1004_19135472-all.wav
20131022-105652_  070000881       _1121_1002_-all.wav
20131022-125950_0710000051_3389_1002_-all.wav
20131022-131422_0720000327           _1103_1002_19000097-all.wav
20131022-132403_ask if the bank account is registered under his name and ask if he is earn-all.wav  #How was a comment noted as the number?
20131023-091659_0730000250_3207_1004_19000076-all.wav
20131023-134026_ 0700005677_3812_1003_00007168-all.wav
20131023-160454_0330000508_1113_1002_18200002-all.wav

The leads without a vendor lead code are manual dials. But there are spaces, brackets and gaps.

Two Questions:

i) Will the gaps and extra characters affect the conversion to mp3 and the linking of the recording to a lead and call for reporting?
ii) Where are the gaps and characters coming from? The one call where the comment was logged as the customer phone, that call connected and was recorded, so the number was uploaded correctly. I can't trace it because I don't have the number, leadID or vendor lead code...

Thanks for your time and any replies!

Regards,

Rudolf

PS: I am trouble shooting lost recordings and a SQL server that allowed to little connections. The SQL should now be sorted, but I still want to try understand the process and where the arb characters come from.

I suspect the system is having trouble processing these files due to the special charaters in the file names. Do you allow your agents to directly edit lead information on the agent screen? If so I'd suspect human error has introduced white space, etc in the telephone field you are using for generating part of the file name. There is a campaign setting to make the telephone field non-editable (and per user overrides in the user settings).

Hi Geoff3dmg,

Disable Customer Data is set to Y on all my campaigns. We get a lot of abuse, especially in click to dial campaigns where agents enter personal numbers in to the fields and dial them for personal calls... :)

That comments field getting in there is what really bugs me as well as the spaces.

Rudolf

I suspect if you check you will find this information in the vendor_lead_code field. Possibly during import of data.

My advice: Don't try to "solve the entire problem". Pick ONE (particularly annoying) file. Track it to the lead, track the lead through all calls, ingroups, campaigns, agents, closers, everywhere ... and find that text. You'll eventually find how it got there and by accident probably solve all the others with this one forensic trace.
