Adding Disposition in Recording Filename

Postby vkalp_rg » Fri Jul 15, 2011 4:17 am

Hi Matt,

Firstly congratulations on the award at TMC for vicidial voted the best contact center solution.

I know this feature was not possible until last I saw in previous forums. I wanted to check if there is a way it can be made possible to add disposition to the recording filename.

Thanks
RG

The only way to do this would be to write a batch process that would run after the recordings have finished and look up the status of the call in the vicidial_log or vicidial_closer_log table. Also, you might have to wait a while after since agents can sometimes leave their Dispo screen up for quite a while, so maybe the process would be best run after-hours.

Hello,
Has there been an update to enable the usage of the "STATUS" in CAll recording naming convention?
I am getting everything i need in the recording file name EXCEPT that bit of information.
Pleae advise as to process to add Disposition STATUS CODE ( max 6 digits in length ) to the call recording filename?
Thank you

1) Welcome to the Party! 8-)

2) As you are obviously new here, I have some suggestions to help us all help you:

When you post, please post your entire configuration including (but not limited to) your installation method and vicidial version with build.

This IS a requirement for posting along with reading the stickies (at the top of each forum) and the manager's manual (available on EFLO.net, both free and paid versions)

You should also post: Asterisk version, telephony hardware (model number is helpful here), cluster information if you have one, and whether any other software is installed in the box. If your installation method is "from scratch" you must post your operating system and should also post the .iso version from which you installed your original operating system. If your installation is "Hosted" list the site name of the host.

If this is a "Cloud" or "Virtual" server, please note the technology involved along with the version of that techology (ie: VMware Server Version 2.0.2). If it is not, merely stating the Motherboard model # and CPU would be helpful.

Similar to This:

Vicibox X.X from .iso | Vicidial X.X.X-XXX Build XXXXXX-XXXX | Asterisk X.X.X | Single Server | No Digium/Sangoma Hardware | No Extra Software After Installation | Intel DG35EC | Core2Quad Q6600

3) When the recording begins, the status has not been chosen, but the filename must be chosen so there is a place to store the recording. Therefor it is impossible to MAKE the recording with the status already in it.

The only possibility, then is to run a script after the call completes and the disposition has been chosen and then rename the file. This could be handled with a "dispo_url" script fairly easily but I do not believe there is one presently.

There IS a script in /usr/share/astguiclient that will copy all files based on disposition (ie: SALE) to an ftp location. It would be fairly easy to modify this script to copy them AND add the status to the filename at the same time.

Happy Hunting! 8-)
