Poor sound quality on ONLY ONE CAMPAIGN

Postby byteme2000 » Tue Feb 18, 2014 3:05 pm

I'm having issues where only one campaign is having poor sound quality issues. This campaign is dialing the same phone numbers, using the same carrier, and same script as all of my other campaigns. Just this one is having issues.

It is dialing fine but the sound quality is poor both ways.

Any ideas?

Have you tried to create a new campaign with identical settings using the same list? If so did it have problems as well? Another thing I might look at is the routing extension and campaign extension, are these different than on the other campaigns?

I have to wonder if you truly believe it is using the same settings if you don't share the settings or if you actually mean "similar" settings. :)

For instance, it is possible to use the same "VOIP Carrier" without using the same entry under Admin->Carriers in Vicidial by having two "Carriers" pointing to the same provider. Then the settings would be different, resulting easily in a different call quality.

So ... how identical are these campaigns? Did you "copy campaign" from one to the other? Or are you summarizing in a way to mean you tried to make them similar?

Are these campaigns on the Same Server? (also easy to have completely different results ... obviously, and not necessarily related to the hardware or software in any way).

Are the agent PCs different between the campaigns? If so you might want to look there.

Thanks for your responses. I’ll try to answer them the best I can. I’m still fairly new to Vici but am learning all the time.

Yes I have created new campaigns using the same lists with no issues.

Routing extension and campaign extension??? Sorry you lost me on that one.

William
VOIP Carrier: the exact same. I have three carriers and have the same issues on all three.

How identical: I used the “Copy Campaign”. Looking in the DB the only differences between this one and all the others are Campaign ID, Campaign Name, Campaign Script, and Campaign Description.

Geoff
Same agents on the same machines.
