Auto Detection Is on but still ringing in agents ear.

In my campaign i have the routing extension set to 8369 which is suppose to detect answering machines..

Whats happening is when a live call comes into the agents interface it will ring then either someone will answer or it will go into a answering machine..

How do i get rid of the ringing and only connect upon a actual answer from a person???

AMD detection in asterisk is a bit rubbish. I would suggest you purchase Sangomas CPD solution.

Right now i am getting hosted by VICI themselves..

I have no idea. Have you talked to your host about this?

Costs serious money to talk to them so i was trying to go this route first before i went any further...

We do offer Sangoma CPD/CPA/Lyra on our Vicihost hosted platform, but given the monthly cost of the licenses and extra hardware required, we only have a few clients that use it.

I spoke with Robert at VICI dial and he advised me that Hosted VICI dialers are not available for that product.. He did advise me of the price tho. (how nice of him)..I am stuck in between a rock and a hard place as of now as now if i want this to work better i will have to move everything to a webserver.

Sorry about that, we don't actively sell it, but if you ask to speak to Jon or Matt(me) about it we can give you an overview. We only have a few clients using it on Vicihost, because frankly it is complex to set up and manage and the CPD process is very inflexible as far as per-campaign settings. You basically set the server for one set of settings and that's all you can use for all campaigns going through it. Just mention that you chatted with Matt on the forum and you should be able to get vicihost pricing information on it.

Yea when i spoke with robert i told him your username on here that you were the one i spoke with. He said that they did and gave me the same explanation you just did. Thank you for your help. I guess i will have to figure out another way if i can.

Just like Vicihost, we do not have many clients using it.

We have the same basic issue, but have found Vicibox 5 incompatible with Sangoma. So when a client wants it, they need a Sangoma Server plus they must be using Vicibox 4 on the "dialer" servers. But we do have a few using them.

We may be interested in hosting the Sangoma server portion without the rest to allow clients to use Sangoma without that massive investment. Limited channel limit, of course. But this would possibly allow individual clients to use XX channels of Sangoma to test the functionality and decide if the "fully involved" server install with licensing is actually worth it.

after i saw how much it would cost. I decided against it, i will have to come with some sort of other option.

The costs for sangomas would out-way its usefulness.
