my inbound number saying "NUMBER DOES NOT EXISTS" sometimes

Postby muraliadupa » Mon Mar 24, 2014 3:00 am

Hi Team!

Software Used for Dialer Installation

GoAutoDial 2.1 Distro
Vicidial SVN 2.4-309a BUILD: 110430-1642
Asterisk 1.4.39.1-vici
DAHDI 2.4.1
CentOS 5.6

No extra softwre/hardware used

I setup my DID on goauotodial. And everything works perfect.
When customer calls the DID number sometime it says "Number Does Not Exists"
and sometimes its ringing. What would be the problem?
Please expalin. ... Thanks in advance.

Regards

That sounds like a carrier issue. Do you have an alternate you can test with?
Vicibox 5.03 from .iso | VERSION: 2.10-451a BUILD: 140902-0816 | Asterisk 1.8.28.2-vici | Multi-Server | Amfeltec H/W Timing Cards | No Extra Software After Installation | Dell PowerEdge 1850 | Pentium 4 'Prescott' Xenon Quad @ 3.40GHz

1) Good job posting your specs

2) Get another carrier. Do not try to run a dailer/pbx with a single carrier. That way lies madness.

3) Check your logs during the moment an inbound call failed, see if there was any sort of entry at all (obviously an error entry would be useful!)

4) Be sure your network connection is solid to your carrier and that your firewall is not blocking any ports intermittently. Especially true if you are using a carrier that requires registration

5) Are you SURE these clients are dialing the correct number? Have you ever experienced this yourself? Try dialing your own number every 10 seconds for a few minutes and see if all of them at least cause activity in the asterisk CLI (then hang up).

Happy Hunting 8-)
