Listen call voice using browser instead of sip-client-phone

For make or receive any calls agent has to registered on sip client phone, so it is necesssaty that sip phone is installed in client machine , but is there any way to attend calls by agent without sip client phone installed on agent machine?

1) ZoiperWeb (licensed per server, already integrated to Vicidial, but ... obviously not free)

2) Pay PoundTeam (or some other company, but I'm kinda partial to PoundTeam as they are my employer ...) to build a prototype using flash audio or similar to generate the audio, thus contributing to what could become a Free Web Phone for everyone. Just a thought.

We've tested a bunch of web-integrated softphones, and the only one that met our endurance and reliability tests was Zoiperweb.

And we do have clients using ZoiperWeb. The only "challenge" is that it still requires a Browser Add-on that can be finicky about installation (often works best to install the add-on in IE before trying to USE it in Firefox). But after that, no phone configuration at all which is very nice. And the DEMO is excellent (30 second limit to calls ... but otherwise quite educational, and I think it's pre-installed these days in Vicibox!)

I do believe (based on research for previous clients) that we could build one that would require NO installation client-side, but the first versions may require a separate server to "run". Hopefully we don't get a client that wants it to be proprietary, but so far no one has even paid for a prototype. Maybe this fall.
