ConfBridge vs Meetme

Postby mav2287 » Wed Jun 04, 2014 3:54 pm

As I have been becoming more and more familiar with asterisk I have been seeing a lot migration toward ConfBridge over MeetMe. Is this something that can be done with VICIdial? If so is there any advantage? just curious...

We've been over this topic several times, meetme allows for a hardware timer which guarantees solid timing and good audio synchronization and recording even under high loads, that's the reason we use it and will probably continue to use it as long as it's the only conferencing engine that does that. We've tried using other conferencing engines in the past and that always ends up being a problem with them.
