cannot run the AST_VDhopper.pl

Hi all
iam trying to run the AST_VDhopper.pl file..
i am displayed with this error:

Perhaps the DBD::mysql perl module hasn't been fully installed,
or perhaps the capitalisation of 'mysql' isn't right.
Available drivers: ExampleP, Proxy, Sponge.

installed perl version: perl-5.8.5-16.RHEL4
phpmyadmin : 2.8.1

iam using phpmyadmin database...which is running very good.
help me how to solve this..!

You need to install at least the MySQL client libraries on your system to install the DBD::mysql perl module. Do you have those loaded?

It's all in the SCRATCH_INSTALL document, if you follow it your system will work.

You need to install mysql, then you need to follow the cpan installation section.

Hi,

in my system during installation of redhat (RHEL4) mysql has got installed..
i think this mysql (mysql-4.1.12-3.RHEL4.1) is ok according to the documentation..so now i can proceed directly to cpan...

any suggestion plse tell me..!

I hasd the same problem earlier as DBD::mysql driver is not install successfully from cpan, install the DBD::mysql driver manual and that sould solve your problem.
