NO MUSIC ON HOLD WHY ?

Hello all i got a problem while i uploaded files for music on hold i call and i hear silence why ? files are there i seen them with winscp and it says it cant find files (on the log)

The first thing I see that stands out to me is that it doesn't show a file extension on the not found error. If it is looking for "0000_sip-silence" and the file name is "0000_sip-silence.gsm" it can't find it because it doesn't have the file extension. How did you create/upload the sound file?

also i got no incoming calls i dial my vicidial did and while it picks up the phone i hear nothing and the agents got no incoming calls in the queue

installed g729 codec and tis solved now i can hear music on hold but i still got no incoming calls on the agent ~:/

Have you tried using a different MOH class? Perhaps create one with some music uploaded via the Admin console?

will try that also but music on hold works now all i had to do was install g729 codec

thing is i dial my did and the call isnt routed to the inbound group once i select a campaign and wait for incoming calls i just hear the music on hold for that campaign and thats it, anyone knows what i did wrong? have tried everything !

2) As you are obviously new here, I have some suggestions to help us all help you:

When you post, please post your entire configuration including (but not limited to) your installation method and vicidial version with build.

This IS a requirement for posting along with reading the stickies (at the top of each forum) and the manager's manual (available on EFLO.net, both free and paid versions)

You should also post: Asterisk version, telephony hardware (model number is helpful here), cluster information if you have one, and whether any other software is installed in the box. If your installation method is "from scratch" you must post your operating system and should also post the .iso version from which you installed your original operating system. If your installation is "Hosted" list the site name of the host.

If this is a "Cloud" or "Virtual" server, please note the technology involved along with the version of that techology (ie: VMware Server Version 2.0.2). If it is not, merely stating the Motherboard model # and CPU would be helpful.

3) The most common error in this situation is to set the route for the DID to "ingroup" and then fail to identify ... WHICH ingroup. Thus there is nowhere to send the call, the script fails and the call terminates.

Do not run ViciDIAL on a virtual machine. You will run into issues.
