The requested URL /vicidial/admin.php was not found .

After installing Vicidial I tried to browse to it's home page http;//serverip/vicidial/admin.php, but it says:
Not Found

The requested URL /vicidial/admin.php was not found on this server.
Apache/2.0.59 (Unix) PHP/4.4.4 Server at 10.1.1.7 Port 80

Now, "http://serverip" works and I can browse through the default installation of apache but no vicidial. On httpd.conf server root is " /usr/local/apache2/ " on the astguiclient.conf the PathWeb is /usr/local/apache2/ as well. I don't know what's going on.

At the begining astguiclient.conf was different. It had PathWeb /usr/local/apache2/htdocs/; and when I tried to browse through the page http://serverip/vicidial/admin.php it will give me error > "required dbconnect.php".

Then I tried changing the httpd.conf to match that of astguiclient.conf, but gave me errors loading up modules for php.

Please, I need help. How can I fix the current error "
The requested URL /vicidial/admin.php was not found on this server."

did you run the install script?

please post the output of this

ls /var/www/html

and this ls /usr/local/apache2/

when your document root of httpd server /usr/local/apache2/

then when you installting agc give this path /usr/local/apache2/
instead of /usr/local/apache2/htdocs ( this default installation)

make sure after end of installation, do you see any errors

check the dbconnect.php is available in that folder.


instead of confusing yourself, recomend to remove the all the folders and related files of agc and install in fresh and make sure your paths are correct.

As you can see I did change the default PATHweb. It gives no error after installation. On the path /usr/local/apache2/htdocs, has admin.php and dbconnect.php. dbconnect.php is also found on /usr/local/apache2/agc/ .

but default what path you gave for installation

i belive your default root directory is
/usr/local/apache2/htdocs

so install agc on this directory and see, it should work

Please, forgive my inaptitude, but I need to ask this question before I re-try to install astguiclient for the fifth time.

Should I install agc under PATHweb directory /usr/local/apache2/htdocs eventhough on httpd.conf shows ServerRoot "/usr/local/apache2/"? Which if I try to change to /usr/local/apache2/htdocs would say :
Syntax error on line 232 of /usr/local/apache2/conf/httpd.conf:
Cannot load /usr/local/apache2/htdocs/modules/libphp4.so into server: /usr/local /apache2/htdocs/modules/libphp4.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory.
