I am trying to find a way to have VICIdial dial customers work numbers during the day and then once it has called all the work numbers then call home numbers. Is this possible without modification or coding?

That's what Auto-Alt-Dialing with MULTI_LEAD accomplishes. It's built in to the code, but it does require that you load one lead per phone number with a common vendor_lead_code linking the leads that share a common customer.

Does this mean that you can't use alt numbers in conjunction with this I.E. one lead with 2 home phones and another linked lead with the work number?

That is correct, when you choose the MULTI_LEAD auto-alt-number dialing method it will only auto-dial the main phone number associated with each lead. But in your example you would just create 3 leads, 2 with home phone numbers and 1 with the work number.

Is there anyway to do MULTI-LEAD and still have it call the primary and 1 of the alt numbers? For example I would want to have a list with home and cell numbers. I would then want a list with just work numbers. The plan would be to work through the work list and then in the evening go through the second list with home and cell, but only contact leads we didn't speak to at a work number.

This can be done by using the Multi-Lead feature and having each type of number in a different list each with it's own set call time.
