I installed vicibox, and believe it's configured correctly for vicibox standard.

Is there an "on" switch to turn the web server on? Something along the lines of starting apache2 webserver...

you were pinging 192.168.0.15
your ip-adress is 192.168.0.13

I'm sorry, that's a typo in the question. I did use 192.168.0.15 in actual use. The server is .15, a neighboring workstation is .13. Also, I tried, on localhost, "lynx localhost".

Do I need to start Apache2 or a similar service? Is there a checklist of services to see that they're running?

my fault, only after I printed out the directions did I see that I'd missed a step: vicibox-express to install the actual dialer...whoops. seems fine now. In my defense, I had to go across the room to read the directions for each step...anyhow, got it to start! looks interesting. I didn't realize that you have buy a license from zoiper, though. Can you switch that out for another soft phone, or it's baked in there pretty well?
