Consultative Transfers to Inbound

Hi Guys,

Details are as follows:

VERSION: 2.10-451a
BUILD: 140902-0816
Installed with http://striker24x7.blogspot.com.es/2013 ... idial.html a few months ago but used SVN and on CentOS.
IAX softphones to server with IAX trunk to provider.

I'm looking for some guidance as am getting very confused.

I currently have 10 agents logged into a campaign as fronters.. when a lead is generated they pass through a "park with dial" to a preset I've set up... the preset is something like 8500 which I have set to dial a number in extensions.conf.

That number goes through to a landline in the UK and one of our closers picks it up and carries on the deal.

Now... I want to improve things a bit.

I've got someone setting vicidial up on the closers laptops with zoiper/iax... logged into a agents/phones on my vicidial.

I've got those closers in an in-group which they select when they log in . only inbound... they are not blended.. if I do a transfer to "Closer" ..that works fine..even the leads details are transferred with the call too.. but I want a consultative transfer.. and that doesn't work.. the transfer goes direct to the closer without the fronter being able to talk to the closer when they answer the call... (I have the closers set to on-hook)

I'm getting very confused about all this.. I'm sure I'm missing something simple.

I've been through the managers manual lots of times and looked this up all over the pipes... but I can't seem to get this set up right.

Can someone give me a few pointers as to what I could be doing wrong please.

Have you read the agent manual from vicidial.org? It goes over the exact steps to do a consultative transfer(including checking the CONSULTATIVE checkbox).

Hi there,

Yep... done that... i know most of the processes for transfer as we use them for presets already... it's the inbound group that i'm having trouble with... I have the consultative box ticked... but that doesn't seem to make any difference... chances are I've made so many changes over the past 6 months to the server I've done something thats messing it up... but it's a production server so it's not like I can shut it down and start again...

Never mind... helps if I press the right button... I was pressing the "Closer" button... and not the park with dial button...
