Filter Test Script

Postby paolo » Tue Feb 24, 2015 3:45 pm

Hi Everyone,

I would just like to inquire if what I'm looking at is correct, I ran a debug on AST_VDhopper.pl and looked at the queries and I cold see that it goes through the list mix first before the actual filer. My filter is to only dial specific area codes and my list mix is set to dial statuses 'NA','A','AA','B','CALLBK','DROP','XDROP','AL','AM','DMNI','AB','NEW' but when I run the test on the filter it gives a summary that it only pulls leads with statuses STATUSES: A AA B CALLBK DROP XDROP AL AM DMNI AB NEW.

Just wondering why the statuses on the test doesn't match what's on the list mix when the hopper script indicates that it would first go through the list mix before applying the filter.

Any ideas on the script or perl script thats being ran to produce the test result on a campaign when testing a filter.

Thank you in advance for all your help.

I spent a pretty good amount of time working on that script recently, but before I can be of any assistance I need A LOT more information. What does your filter look like? What is the output from the VD_hopper script when you run debug (regular debug should be fine debugX is a massive amount of data)? What vicidial version are you using? Is the filter set in the campaign screen? ETC...

I would also add as a side not that my personal preference for blocking zip codes is a 2 headed approach. I add a state restriction that blocks calls to the states. I then go into the DNC list and add all the area codes I don't want dialed and apply the DNC area code function. This way I block out all the area codes/states we don't work. This has worked REALLY well for us as it is both redundant. We have yet to have one get through.

Thank you Mav2287 for the reply. The filter I was running is to Dial only specific Area Codes. I was able to resolve it by clearing the hopper and the values on the debug matched after I cleared the hopper. I saw on the debug that the values it projects is being placed on another table thats why it wasn't projecting the values correctly and the culprit on why the values were not matching was due to the changes made on the list mix. So in short to get an accurate value the hopper had to be cleared so that it would run the VD_hopper script again.

Thank you for the assistance.

That makes more sense. The easiest way to avoid this in the future is to make sure you set the clear hopper setting when you make changes like this in the campaign screen. This will completely clear and reload the hopper the next time the script runs. The only thing to note is that takes a little longer as it will run the hopper script as a clear and then it won't re-load the hopper till the next time the script runs.

I would suggest running a debug on the hopper script so that you would have a better understanding. The hopper script would first get rid of the inactive lists so the filter will not need to go through those list. Before the filter applies it will first eliminate leads that are undialable.
