Cluster Dialers: Click to Dial and load-balanceInbound calls

Postby jahbugz » Mon Mar 09, 2015 11:19 am

Hello,

I have a few questions about setting up clustered dialers. In the past I've always done single dialer installation and so setting up carriers, integration with CRMs, and click to dial has been rather simple. I'm attempting to replicate the same success with clustered dialers. For example, I have a carrier that does not require a registration string and does IP method instead. How do I load balance inbound calls in this case? Can it even be done or do I have to use a

This is the scenario... Customer pays to have a commercial on TV with a 1-800 number. Customer receives a ton of calls while the commercial is playing (over 100). According to the Vicidial forums, there is a limitation of 100 concurrent calls to a single dialer.

The same customer also wants to utilize the click to Dial and screen pop feature. The one that I traditionally build leverages the Asterisk Management Interface on one dialer to receive the call information and to place calls. How does this work when an agent on dialer 2 receives a call but the program is connected to the Asterisk Management Interface on dialer1?

Any insight on this questions will be GREATLY appreciated.
