I'm not up on perl, but I know that you can execute them with perl /path/to/script.pl and my question is twofold:
1.) use perl to run scripts?
2.) prefer scripts in /root/subversion/trunk/..?
This is in the context of updating the ip address with update server and keepalive to update vici sip.conf files.
