positive SIP test of "trunking" provider

How can I use sipsak to test outside connectivity? Once I have the sip trunking provider configured, what would be a successful test to establish that "yes, configuration is correct"? I don't have sipsak on this mac at the moment, but that would be my preferred tool because of it's ease of use.

Configuration is correct when you can make and receive calls with two way sound. Not related to sipsak.
