DID route to external

Postby mav2287 » Thu Mar 26, 2015 12:15 pm

I have a sales line we use that I would like to re-route to an external number. This way the calls would come into the pbx then out to the external number, but still be recorded by the PBX. I would also like to have it forward on the original CID when it forwards the new call if at all possible.

I know that this is something that can be done with Asterisk itself, just wasn't sure what the easiest way to do it within VICIdial is. Assuming that it is possible to do through admin....

I would usually route that through an in-group that is always closed and then back out so that you get full logging. Just make sure you set the in-group CID settings set with "CUSTOMER" in them.

So it seems I was on the right path. The part I am having some trouble with is the back out part. What would I need to set in the ingroup to get it to then ring the number on to the call?

I got it I just set it to No agents queueing Y and set the extension to dialout. It does seem to have a bit of a delay so if there is something that will dialout quicker I can switch to that. Everything else works fine.
