I am trying to use vicidial for the lead management side only with agent screen still being used without actually dialing the records. issue is i can't find a way to give a record a status from agent screen without dialing it first.

You can use the Campaign setting for No Dial dialing.

Sorry I am not seeing that option in detailed campaign settings. I want to allow agents to give records a status with dialing the number

Sorry, that's within this Campaign option:
In-Group Manual Dial -This feature allows you to enable the ability for agents to place manual dial outbound calls that are logged as in-group calls assigned to a specific in-group. The MANUAL_DIAL option allows the placing of phone calls out through an In-Group to the agent placing the call. The NO_DIAL option allows the agent to log time on a call that does not exist, as if it were a real call, this is often used for logging email or faxing time. The BOTH option will allow both call and no-call in-group dialing. The default is DISABLED.

I'm still not seeing how this will allow my agents to apply a disposition status to the records without dialing it.

This is an option in the Manual Dialing screen on the agent interface. It places a fake phone call that is never dialed through the interface, but logs it as if it were a real call.

So they will still be required to click dial and hangup before a disposition can be applied ?

Ok well I am trying to find a way to allow a disposition to be given to each record without dialing. I can accomplish what you describe by simply having no carrier active.

New Question same issue. I simply disabled the carrier using manual dial mode with hot keys enabled to disposition calls. All works as planned except for the waiting for ring times out at 50 seconds then the hotkeys won't work. how can i increase the waiting for ring time ?
