Receive duplicate email with AST_inbound_email_parser

Hello,

When we set AST_inbound_email_parser.pl as cron job to receive email.
It will receive duplicate emails. But when we run it manually then we receive single email only.

Eg.
If we send 3 emails from any email id like subject test1, test2 and test3. And run inbound email parser manually then we receive single email copy but if we set AST_inbound_email_parser.pl in cron job then I will receive duplicate email copy.
Output:
1st email -> test1
2nd email -> test2
3rd email -> test2
4th email -> test3
5th email -> test3

Below is my current vicidial configuration:
VERSION: 2.8-420a
BUILD: 131210-1741

The version you are using is about 18 months old. I would suggest upgrading to the most recent svn/trunk and see if the problem still exists in the newest version.

As its in production so to update version is quite difficult is there any alternate option to fix it?

I have no idea what the problem might be since we haven't had that complaint from any of our clients that are using email.
