Ast 1.8.32.2-vici cdr

Postby Vince-0 » Mon Jun 01, 2015 11:14 am

Hi!

I want to add cdr_mysql module to Vici6 to get custom asteriskcdrdb into MySQL but the module doesn't appear to be compiled.
Where can I get the Asterisk 1.8.32.2-vici source so I can compile it from scratch?

Thanks!
Vin.

1) Welcome to the Party! 8-)

2) As you are obviously new here (well, not THAT new, but ...), I have some suggestions to help us all help you:

When you post, please post your entire configuration including (but not limited to) your installation method and vicidial version with build.

This IS a requirement for posting along with reading the stickies (at the top of each forum) and the manager's manual (available on EFLO.net, both free and paid versions)

You should also post: Asterisk version, telephony hardware (model number is helpful here), cluster information if you have one, and whether any other software is installed in the box. If your installation method is "from scratch" you must post your operating system and should also post the .iso version from which you installed your original operating system. If your installation is "Hosted" list the site name of the host.

If this is a "Cloud" or "Virtual" server, please note the technology involved along with the version of that techology (ie: VMware Server Version 2.0.2). If it is not, merely stating the Motherboard model # and CPU would be helpful.

Similar to This:

Vicibox X.X from .iso | Vicidial X.X.X-XXX Build XXXXXX-XXXX | Asterisk X.X.X | Single Server | No Digium/Sangoma Hardware | No Extra Software After Installation | Intel DG35EC | Core2Quad Q6600

3) I do not believe it is necessary to recompile to get that module or to activate it after you get it. But without knowing the installer version ... it's hard to say (I can't check a machine with the same installer and see, since I don't know).

4) Look here http://download.vicidial.com/

Happy Hunting! 8-)

Hi William!
Thorough as always, thanks.

3) There isn't cdr_mysql.so or cdr_odbc.so in /usr/lib64/asterisk/modules/
4) I think I would have to use asterisk-1.8.23.0-vici.tar.gz and patch it up to the current version - not sure exactly which patches apply.

Vicibox_v.6.0.x86_64-6.0.3.preload.iso | VERSION: 2.12-484a BUILD: 150429-1222 | Asterisk 1.8.32.2-vici | Single Server | No Interface cards | No Extra Software | Dell R720 | Dual Xeon E5-2609

OK: so your logic here is that if an .so is missing, recompile must be needed?

Perhaps you should try to find out what package will provide that .so file. Probably "asterisk-addons" ... or some recent relative thereof.

Yep,
What I would usually do is enable cdr_mysql in make menuselect and make && make install again to get updated modules.

I did provide the link to the Vicidial software storage, which should include the Asterisk versions (and all the patches are also in there).

I will say that our experience is that the mysql cdr module is not entirely useful, and we've always ended up using the Vicidial logging system instead (in some cases modifying it to log more than originally intended or store the information differently).
