Connect two VICIDial Servers

Postby wwwanaya » Wed Jun 03, 2015 7:40 pm

I want to connect 2 vicidial servers.

This is the example:

Server 202: VICIDial for receive through public DID # This is done already
Server 203: VICIDial for receive calls through a DID inherited from an extension of Server 202

Is possible to make this?

Interesting. http://download.vicidial.com/vicidial/t ... ANCING.txt (Never knew that was described in such detail in that location!)

Most rooms take a slightly different approach, however: It is fairly simple to set up a sip phone to shunt calls from one server to another.

Master server has the settings in "Admin->Phones" for the extension and registration password.

Client server has those same settings, but in "Admin->Carriers" as if the master server were a telco. Technically, it IS the carrier for these inbound calls and can be treated as such. If you consider the master server to be a telco, and set it up as a normal carrier ... it works just like one. The DID that will be called is the "Dialplan Number" in the Master Server's phone record for that phone. This can be set to just about any number you like to simulate a regular 10 digit DID.

If you're looking for is a DID pass-through, that's a little more complex :)
