Non Vicidial Extensions calls logged to lead records

Postby fibres » Fri Jul 17, 2015 9:57 am

Hi Guys

We are looking at moving the whole phone system at a company I part own to Vicidial.

We have about 10 sales agents that we want on manual dial blended campaign for sales these will all log onto vicidial as normal and work through the dialer and the PipeDrive CRM we use.

We also have about 20 other staff that have phones that need to make and receive calls as normal extensions without the dialer.

Is it possible to have the calls from these normal etensions logged against the lead_id of the number called/calling if it exists and create a lead if it doesnt so that the calls can be tracked along with sales calls and recordings easilly accessed?

Regards

It is possible, outside Vicidial. Since these calls will be handled via asterisk, the diaplan can be modified to push the calls to an agi (perl!) script and initiate the tracking you're looking for.

Outside Vicidial.

You could probably do this by routing the call through a call menu(using the phone's "phone context") to an always-closed in-group to do the lookup, then using some custom dialplan to dial the call in another call menu after it's dropped from that in-group. But the issues would be you couldn't choose which lead_id the calls were associated with if there were duplicates, and it would create new lead_ids for numbers not already in the database.
