Record extension to extension calls

Hi,

My Configuration: ViciBox Redux v.6.0.3-141118, Asterisk 1.8.32.3-vici, VERSION: 2.12-485a, BUILD: 150512-2225
Single server, Single port E1 Sangoma card for receiving/making calls. Xlite soft phones for agents.

I have phones defined in the system from 8001 to 8030. Not all people in the office use vicidal as agents, some just use the x-lite phones to make general/office calls.

I have made the required changes to record all the calls originating from x-lite and going to the outside world.

I need a method to record all the calls including the ones from one extension to another that is 8001 calls 8002, I want to record that. where should I do this ... extensions.conf or custom dial plan entry in the UI with entries for 8XXX to be done? will this be ok? or do I do this somewhere else?

I tried to do this both from the UI as well as direct update to the extensions.conf file but the file extensions-vicidial.conf is where the dialing is taking place from Rule matching. Since this is a auto generated file the changes wont stick!!

The vicidial in the admin section, has a Custom dial plan entry.
Also, extensions.conf is not autogenerated

We've done this before by having all of the agent phones use a specific Phone Context and having that be a Call Menu with a custom dialplan that passes all calls through the NVArecording AGI script before it gets sent to the "default" context. This allows for both logging and recording of all manually dialed extension calls.
