Hello,
I am trying to use the OWNER_TIME_ZONE_CODE feature for identifying a lead's time zone in the dialer's backend. I I know how to turn this on in the list settings, however I am trying to deduce how to populate this via the non agent API reliably with each lead.
The non agent api doc list this field:
local_gmt - timezone setting, not adjusting for DST, default: '-5.00'
However the vicidial help link says:
OWNER_TIME_ZONE_CODE will use the standard time zone abbraviation loaded into the owner field of the lead to determine the time zone, in the USA examples are AST, EST, CST, MST, PST, AKST, HST. This feature must be enabled by your system administrator to go into effect.
So my questions are:
1) Do I pass a numeric time zone to the API using the local_gmt field, or do I set a textual timezone in the "owner" field? Or both?
2) The help docs say "This feature must be enabled by your system administrator to go into effect.". Does this refer to just changing the time zone settings for the list to OWNER_TIME_ZONE_CODE, or is this referring to some other system level feature that has to be activated?
I appreciate any insight/help you can offer me.
~Brian
