Cannot hear anything when dial

Postby andrew1981 » Wed Mar 02, 2016 9:58 am

Hi,

This is the first time that i had to write and seek help related to the vicibox. I have been using the goautodial 2.1 since last 2 years without any problem and basically with the same carrier settings mentioned below but now we want to upgrade it to vicibox (which is 64bit)
The details are as follows:

Linux vicibox 3.11.10-34-default #1 SMP Wed Jan 20 14:13:45 UTC 2016 (1e76e80) x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux ( Fresh install)
Asterisk 1.8.29.0-vici currently running on vicibox
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[TataVoip]
disallow=all
allow=gsm
allow=ulaw
allow=g729
allow=alaw
type=peer
dtmfmode=rfc2833
context=trunkinbound
host=202.54.112.194
qualify=yes
insecure=no
nat=yes

exten => _X.,1,AGI(agi://127.0.0.1:4577/call_log)
exten => _X.,2,Dial(SIP/${EXTEN:1}@TataVoip,,tTo)
exten => _X.,3,Hangup.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ISSUE:
I did all the setup following the free manager's manual. I have created the user, phone and campaign. The softphone is registered. Agent can login and also hear "You are the only......" But when the agent dial a customer he cannot hear anything. Sometimes if agent logout and login again then he is able to hear the ring and the customer as well.

I did the port forwarding 5060 UDP and 10000-50000 udp. Also disabled the firewall still its not working.

Below is the asterisk CLI when cannot hear the ring and the customer but its a live call.

Does the audio sometime go out after a successful call or is it either they log in and get no ringing or sometimes they do?
Either way, please let me know:
- Did this just start happening or did it occur after a change?
- Check the screenlog for that phone going UNREACHABLE - this might be the cause
- What is your network topology?

First of all i would like to thank you for your reply.

As i mentioned, Agents can hear "you are the only person......" everytime when they login. The first call goes well, agent can hear the ring and the customer too no matter how long is the call duration. But when they attempt the second call it goes blank- no ring and no customer's voice but its a live call.

This is a new installation. I also tried to install different version like vicibox 6 and the latest vicibox 7 still the same. And i dont face this issue on my current dialer which is Goautodial 2.1.

The phone cannot go unreachable because its in the lan (wired network).

I think i figured out half of the issue which is with the softphone. First i used the zoiper most of the call were blank then i tried the xlite and the calls that were blank in zoiper they were audible now But now there are still few number when i try to dial from the agent screen its blank but when i dial the same number directly from the registered xlite then it goes through and i am able to hear the ring. I am totally confused...

Some advise please....
