[Solved] Upgraded to Vicibox 7 now No one is in your session

Postby khuff » Tue Apr 05, 2016 9:36 am

So over the weekend I took one of the dialers from our cluster and wanted to upgrade/reinstall it. So I popped in the new Vicibox 7 iso and went to town. Took the server down, deleted out the server entry from the asterisk database for that ip. And then installed the new os using the same ip to keep the phones and carriers and what not. Went super smoothly and no issues. Agent interface worked, all the phones registered no problem. Could manually outbound and take inbound calls routed to extensions. Even cross server calls weren't an issue.

However it seems one important part isn't working. Whenever an agent logs into the agent interface they get the call, and they get the "you are the only person in the conference" recording. But after a few seconds it kicks the blue screen saying "No one is in your session: 8600051" the sessions are still there. Also the "Show conference call channel information" link at the bottom never loads. This happens no matter which web server I use, just always happens if the agent call is coming from the reinstalled server. Looking at the database I never see any entries created for login in either the live_channels or sip_live_channels tables. So it appears the dialer isn't able to update the database with it's live channels. Running core show channels concise I see an entry for the agent phone I'm testing with.
Code: Select all
SIP/9001-00000063!default!8600051!1!Up!MeetMe!8600051,F!8553396903!!!3!919!(None)!1459865619.138
. I've checked the extensions.conf, I've checked the astguiclient.conf, sip.conf and just about anywhere else I can think of and for the most part everything else is working as it should. Agents just aren't able to log into extensions on this machine. In fact we're getting tons of inbound calls on the server that are being handed off to agents on other servers no problem.

I'm thinking it may have something to do with the Asterisk Version setting in the server page. I've reinstalled another server with vicibox 7 last week and it went just fine. But it's Asterisk Version is still set to 1.8.26.1, however on this one I wasn't able to get it to ring the agent phone at all without changing the asterisk version to 11. But I've also recently tested the server with it 1.8.26.1 and haven't had the same issues I had when I initially changed it to 11. Should 11 be the asterisk version on these running vicibox 7?

Any advice or tips would be appreciated. If I'm not able to fix it as it stands, all installed and what not, I plan on reinstalling it again, but I wanted to see what the exact process should be. Did I mess up by just deleting the server entry and installing over the existing setup? How would you all suggestion I do a complete upgrade/reinstall of an existing server?

Edit - I'm using ViciBox v.7.0.0-160119 to install btw.

Well a re-re-install sorted it out. Looks like I was having the
Code: Select all
Can't exec "/usr/src/astguiclient/conf/vicibox-tel.sh": Permission denied
issue during the vicibox-install setup in the Telephony Server portion. I saw a post about it before but didn't notice any sort of error when I installed it previously. Then I just ran the suggested code to fix
Code: Select all
chmod +x /usr/src/astguiclient/conf/vicibox-tel.sh
and re-re-re-installed. After that all I had to do was load in my custom extensions and setup the firewall and we're good to go.

Also did an SVN update while I was under the hood and I must say like the new look of the admin interface. Good job guys.

As a note, the current version of vicibox is 7.0.2, and it fixes several bugs in the previous versions.

Good to know. I have two more servers I need to get setup at some point. I'll make sure I download the new iso.
