Group Aliases

Postby Kelerion » Fri Apr 15, 2016 7:00 am

Hi guys..

Am having trouble getting Group Aliases to work.

This is the setup:

VERSION: 2.12-518a
BUILD: 151104-1518
CentOS install from striker24x7.

We've had this running over a year now and not really had any problems but a new requirement has been introduced.

When an agent makes a manual call - somehow they need a way to set the callerid.

Up till now they've had to log out of vici.. and use zoiper directly.. which has worked fine.

I have the campaign set to campaign prefix 900
and the same for manual prefix.

the dialplan in the carrier is set to:

exten => _9X.,1,AGI(agi://127.0.0.1:4577/call_log)
exten => _9X.,2,Set(CALLERID(num)=etcetc)
exten => _9X.,3,Dial(IAX2/my_provider/${EXTEN:1})
exten => _9X.,4,Hangup

I noticed while looking into this that Matt had said he uses Group Aliases for this purpose... so been looking into them.

Have the aliases set up... they in the manual call screen... but its still coming up with the default callerid.

Read in a previous post that setting the name was bad so all the names are set to the numbers as well.

I've tried everything I can think of..

1) removed the prefixes in the campaign altogether.
2) removed just the prefix in the manual dial setting (but from what I gather if thats empty it uses the campaign setting anyways)
3) double checked the "custom callerid" setting is set to yes.
4) changed the dialplan around with various options

And have run out of idea...

Was hoping for some inspiration!

Thanks in advanced.

K.
