Restarting Vicidial

Postby aleyva » Thu May 19, 2016 9:41 am

Hello everyone.
Occasionally present on the platform falls on the server asterisk where agents are logged , the service simply does crash. To lift the server execute /etc/init.d/vicidial start, the script ( vicidial start) is run fast, but asterisk service finally takes a long time, raising module asterisk delay long time to get up, approximately between 15 to 20 minutes.
Why this delay? is this normal the time?, there any way to give the reset speed.

Thanks for your answers.

Hi,

Good day!

When did you setup your Vicidial System? If it is recently installed then i advise you to try install the latest stable ISO for Vicibox which is 7.0.3 it is way behind from your installed one(5.0.3).

Hope this can help you. Cheers! :)

Hello,

That is not a normal amount of time for Asterisk to start up. Also, the proper way to restart VICIdial is this:

killall screen
killall perl
/etc/init.d/vicidial restart

At the most this should take a minute or two.
