Hi All,

We installed Vicibox 6 preload on our IBM server and configured 2 port sangoma PRI card. and everything is working fine(Inbound, manual, outbound and voice blast) but problem is in Predictive Dialer.

When we start Predictive Dialer calls are triggering from PRI lines but connected calls are not landing to agent desk it will show call in queue on agent screen when we checked in CLI caller id is not passing from 8368 routing extension so we request your help to resolve the problem

Server configuration.
Server Model : IBM
Processors : Dual Core Xenon Processors
RAM : 8GB RAM
Hard disk : 500 GB SATA Hard disk
PRI card : 2-port Sangoma PRI card
VERSION : 2.12-538a

1) There is no such thing as "predictive dial". That's a concept, not a technical term. There is ratio, three types of Adapt, manual and inbound manual. Most vicidial admins consider "adapt" to be predictive where "ratio" is merely autodial. But I'm guessing that's NOT what you refer to, so ... what DO you mean? Please try to share the technical difference between working and not working calls. What changes?

2) On the off-chance that your problem is the same as everyone else's and it's merely that you don't have Autodial working at all, only manual dial, then you should restart your installation and use the STANDARD instead of PRELOAD. And be sure you have the Sangoma card installed before you begin your Vicibox install. Before you say "but we have so much work on it already!", remember that having a working knowledge of full install is necessary for disaster recovery and it's FREE. Install it 5 or 6 times. Seriously. You'll feel better when you're done and gain a much more robust knowledge of the workings of this system. Back up your settings before you begin if you don't think you can dupe it easily. Or just pop this HD out and pop in a new one (thus allowing you to go back to where you are right now simply by putting this HD back in at any time!).

3) Your version information is a bit lacking. The "Vicibox" version is not just "6". It's going to be something more like "6.X.X". Plus the ViciDIAL version must include the Build number.

4) When you install, you should use the latest version of Vicibox, which I believe is 7.0.3 at present!

5) Go read #2 again. Seriously. Full reinstall with the Standard installer on 7.0.3 with the Sangoma cards physically in the box before you begin would be very likely to get you up and running quickly, even if you install 5 or 6 times fer practice.

Thanks Mr. William

We installed Vicibox_v.6.0.x86_64-6.0.4.preload.iso

Then we user zypper up && zypper refresh command

After this we got error that dhadi-linux is not installed then we use zypper install dahdi-linux commad to install dhadi

then we do SVN check out : svn checkout svn://svn.eflo.net:3690/agc_2-X/trunk

SVN version
/usr/src/astguiclient/trunk
Path: .
Working Copy Root Path: /usr/src/astguiclient/trunk
URL: svn://svn.eflo.net/agc_2-X/trunk
Relative URL: ^/agc_2-X/trunk

then we install Vicidial from vicibox-install command and in the same server we have database asterisk and telephony server are installed

We tested calls (Incoming and Manual outgoing and Ratio Method)

Now Manual and Ratio method of outgoing calls from ISDN trunk is working fine

Now we facing problem in incoming calls

after some calls the agent is not getting any sound (only for incoming calls) but from the same system manual and ratio outgoing calls is working fine..

1) Don't use the preload iso unless you really have NO clue about how to "server". Even then, it generally causes more problems than it solves.

2) Why Vicibox 6.0.4 when 7.0.3 is the present installer?

3) If you have a new problem, you should create a new ticket for it instead of continuing this ticket an an unrelated topic. Note that the topic of this ticket is predictive dialer ... not "my call center has problems". You're here for Vicidial support. LOL

4) In all circumstances, you should be following the Vicidial Manager's Manual (available free at EFLO.net, although I highly recommend the PAID version, well worth it). Work from the beginning of the manual without skipping anything until all the features you want to work actually do. once again: from page 1, no skipping. If you hit a snag, you'll likely find help on the forum, and the text in the manual will supply you with search terms for getting help. If all that fails, bring your Manual Version, Page, and Line here and create a ticket describing your issue with an appropriate subject line (you're familiar with this process already, LOL).

5) Instructions for Vicibox installation (not Vicidial, but Vicibox which is the installation CD) do not include installing dahdi-linux at the command line outside the installer software. You should be following the PDF installation instructions from Vicibox.com until the primary installation is completed, and then switching over to the Vicidial managers manual. Two problems with your "not using the PDF instructions" method: 1) installing dahdi-linux from the CLI can cause the wrong version to be installed. You installed based on a bad interpretation of the statement "this package will not be updated" which is NOT the same thing as "you need to install this now". 2) Updating Vicidial scripts without following the UPDATE document's methods can cause problems. Depending on how/when you performed the SVN up, you can cause the DB to be out of sync. Alternately, it's entirely possible that the vicibox-install package would have updated to the latest SVN version anyway, in which case it was moot. But that's what happens when you don't follow the PDF installation instructions. The vicibox-install generally installs the latest version of Vicidial by performing an svn up or svn co during installtion, so there's no need to svn up outside the script.
