IVR Setup

Postby Sathiya » Thu Jul 14, 2016 12:40 am

Hi,

I'm completely new to this. Can you please assist me on this below?

Once the customer call to our Toll free number >> PRI number >> After that how the number detects the exact IVR setup in the extensions.conf.. I've already setup a normal campaign.

Do we need to setup a separate IVR campaign to route the number or do we have any other options ??

Thank You.

1) Welcome to the Party! 8-)

2) As you are obviously new here, I have some suggestions to help us all help you:

When you post, please post your entire configuration including (but not limited to) your installation method (7.X.X?) and vicidial version with build (VERSION: 2.X-XXXx ... BUILD: #####-####).

This IS a requirement for posting along with reading the stickies (at the top of each forum) and the manager's manual (available on EFLO.net, both free and paid versions)

You should also post: Asterisk version, telephony hardware (model number is helpful here), cluster information if you have one, and whether any other software is installed in the box. If your installation method is "manual/from scratch" you must post your operating system with version (and the .iso version from which you installed your original operating system) plus a link to the installation instructions you used. If your installation is "Hosted" list the site name of the host.

If this is a "Cloud" or "Virtual" server, please note the technology involved along with the version of that techology (ie: VMware Server Version 2.0.2). If it is not, merely stating the Motherboard model # and CPU would be helpful.

Similar to This:

Vicibox X.X from .iso | Vicidial X.X.X-XXX Build XXXXXX-XXXX | Asterisk X.X.X | Single Server | No Digium/Sangoma Hardware | No Extra Software After Installation | Intel DG35EC | Core2Quad Q6600

3) All inbound calls begin at the DID and are routed from there. Are you saying you don't know how to configure it to get to the DID? Or that you don't know how to configure an IVR? Or that you don't know how to get the call to a campaign from an IVR?

4) Based on previous posts: Your best bet is to start at the first page of the Vicidial Manager's Manual (from EFLO.net, free version for now but get the paid version as soon as you realize the power of this system!). Don't skip anything. If you feel you don't need a specific section, don't skip it anyway. All the configurations from page one until everything you want to work actually does. If you hit a snag: Bring the Page/line of the manual here and tell us what happened and what Should Have Happened, and what you configured (according to the relevent instructions), and we'll help you along. If there is a challenge with your hardware, be specific about the hardware in question. PRI is vague, there are hundreds of them. LOL
