Beware: DNC lists are not to be huge. They will bog down the system! Do not attempt to load the National DNC list into your Vicidial server. (We have a nightly runner script that allows you to do this after hours without bogging down the system if that's what you're looking for.)

That being said: Add a single lead to the Internal or Campaign DNC of which you speak. Then have a look at phpMyAdmin or mysql and dump the vicidial_dnc or vicidial_campaign_dnc tables and see how it landed. At that point, populating the leads from phpMyAdmin or mysql at the command line can be handled many ways. Depending on the format you already have the list. You can also add a fairly decent amount directly in the "Lists -> Add-Delete DNC Number" link. That's a Text Field. I don't know what the limit is, but it's gonna be pretty big. (and with adjusted php.ini settings, could be bigger, in theory).

I would like to upload dnc list from the do not call just for the area codes i usually dial.

Any area code National DNC list is too large and will bring down the server. That would constitute comparing millions of records in one table to millions of records in another ... Every time the system loads a lead into the dialer. Crash and burn. LOL

You should scrub the leads externally before bringing them into the Vicidial system.

That being said: If you don't have a method to manage this already, we have this product available and have installed it many times for almost every version of Vicidial over the years:

The default configuration includes locking the server so it will refuse to dial area codes that you have not loaded. So the areas you don't own, you can't accidentally dial. Those leads will have the status of "NO_DNC" to avoid being dialed entirely.

You download the lists for each state or area code from the National DNC. You upload the lists into the system. Then you forget about it (it'll run overnight). In the morning, any leads that became DNC will have a status of "NDNC".

Any leads that were loaded during the day will be "NO_DNC" when they are loaded. Overnight, they will be scrubbed and changed to "NEW" or "NDNC" (if they are in the DNC) or remain "NO_DNC" if they are in an area code you have not loaded.

It is possible to add "NO_DNC" to your system to dial leads that are not scrubbed, but it's not a good idea. Best to just not dial the areas you have not yet purchased.

Be sure to make a backup copy of your present list before adding millions of leads to it. You may need to empty it and put those leads back. And be sure to post the results of your experiment upon completion.

i just imported the DNC list with 387798 records to vicidial_dnc using Navicat for MySQL, then i ran a query

300k is fairly small. You might get away with that one. Keep an eye on your MySQL server for slow queries. And of course, if the dialer becomes "sluggish" ...

I just add another 1198536 records and runs fine

How many leads do you have in your system total, and how many in your Hopper (total of all hoppers)?

Not "dialable". How many leads in the vicidial_list table. Not "hopper level" or "hopper for this campaign", but entries in the vicidial_hopper table. These numbers speak to the scale of your system.

OK: That explains it a bit. Most rooms would have a couple million leads, and 50k in the DNC. You have 50k leads and a couple million in the DNC. Backwards but functional. But when you start to push up the leads to a few hundred K ...
