i have one planning to install as a time source
for the meetme.

TDM800 card Yeastar, with 4 FXO ports

any suggestions

but I have heard of all sorts of issues using those for connectivity.

is that means, if i use them for PSTN connectivity and making calls.

but i would like to use that card only for timer source

I'm from Yeastar. What I want to say is please treat Yeastar's TDM800 card equally since we done so much to design, develop and manufacture the card, including the time, energy and investment. So we can't accept the 'Clone' describle.

Before you considering it as a clone card of Digium's TDM800P, could you please make a comparison between them?

From the following 4 aspects, Yeastar's TDM800 different from Digium's TDM800P:
1) From the publish time, Yeastar'TDM800 came to the market on Oct. 2006, but Digium's on Jan. 2007, almost 5 months later,
2) Yeastar's TDM800 has its own driver, but the clone card must use Digium's driver
3) Different LCD, red for FXO port and green for FXS port, which is unavailable on Digium's
4) We use the different solution for Control Chip

Maybe Yeastar's TDM800 failed to meet few users requirement, maybe few users unsatisfied with its quality, Yeastar will reponsible for all the complains from TDM800 users.

as i was tested your card as a Timer source
but i have not used your TDM card for the PSTN

iam doing in future soon

Yeastar cards are good, I have tested them

I have used the Digium TDM800 cards to the PSTN with 8 FXO. They do not work correctly. They transfer the calls to the agents when they are ringing instead of when the line is picked up. Makes the dialer useless. I do not kno about this YEASTAR card but the Digium card does not work.

That is a common problem with analog devices, the pick-up detection in Asterisk is not very good. This is why it is actually better to go with SIP or IAX termination if you cannot get a T1 line.

Yep! Analog lines suck! We're using Sangoma Technologies Corp. A200/Remora FXO/FXS Analog AFT card and asterisk/vicidial transfer the calls even before it rings on the other end. Anyone found a workaround for this?
