Load Balancing Best Practices?

Postby TwistedFister » Wed Jan 25, 2017 3:06 pm

Vicibox 7.0.3 from .iso | Vicidial 2.14-579a Build 161128-1746 | Asterisk 11.22.0-vici | CLuster setup: 1 web 1 DB 5 telephony | No Digium/Sangoma Hardware | No Extra Software After Installation

what would be the best way to load balance the setup listed above? All the servers (5 telephony 1 web 1 DB) are dell poweredge 1950s with dual 3.0 Ghz 4 cores per and 16 GB ram with SSD's , we have 120 agents 80 of which are on 2 separate ratio campaign running at a 2.2 ratio, and EVERY call is recorded and compressed then sent to FTP (compression runs at default times). We also have 85 inbound numbers directed to one single node in which the PLLB is set to 20 per and cascading. The node with all the inbound directed to it maxing out its resources and is there a way around dispersing the inbound traffic manually to the other dialing nodes? or is there a way to make a single node strictly inbound and no outbound dialing done from it?

any guidance is greatly appreciated!

Yes, you can stop outbound auto-dialing on one server, just disable balance dialing for that server in the Server modification page and set the Max Trunks to 1. You can also prevent agents from logging into that server by setting it to Active Agent Server to N.
