Ift's possible or it's scheduled to using vicidial with an oracle database instead of mysql?
This because some big company use only oracle and they don't want to hear nothing else....

I dont think so.

But you can actually educate the client that the only thing that you are gonna be needing from them is the leads.

also you can create a webform that can connect to your oracle database.

Thanks for the info, i think your idea is the best solution (i known most software that do the database translation from mysql to oracle)...
But in the last case, it's possible to rewrite the sql call from vicidial (i can access to some experienced oracle programmer), making a plugin that can be released as gpl (my boss is a free-software supporter) or the labour is incredible and the database translation is the only way?

It would take a very long time to convert VICIDIAL to use Oracle, and I would not support it in future versions because of the insane amount of management and effort it takes to configure and maintain Oracle as opposed to MySQL in a high-transaction environment like VICIDIAL has, not to mention it's not Open-Source.

It would be better to tell management that VICIDIAL uses it's own database and that it is very easy to integrate with existing systems.

Ok i've thinked about your words, and i think that rewriting the sql calls is more difficult than explain that is bette to use mysql...
