Hello community:
Complete newbie here, while following the manual trying to add an extension phone number I'm stuck at trying to connect my softphone (X-lite) to the server.
Everytime I try to connect with the softphone the AsteriskCLI shows this message:
"NOTICE[1796]: chan_sip.c:28490 handle_request_register: Registration from '"6000"<sip:6000@[SERVER_LOCAL_ADDRESS]:5060>' failed for '[COMPUTER LOCAL IP]:7969' - Wrong password"
I know it says "wrong password", but trust me here I have checked x100 for it to match, and I just can't connect the dialer to test the outbount campaing. I'm desperate now, I need to and I feel is something silly I'm overlooking
PS: The CLI from time to time shows this message also, I don't know if is related:
WARNING[1796]: chan_sip.c:4101 retrans_pkt: Timeout on 1b82f92e7cc79e21fa23917f65b94091 on non-critical invite transaction.
Kernel 4.1.38-47-default
OS: openSUSE Leap 42.1 x86_64 (Malachite)
Asterisk 11.25.1-vici
Vicidial: 2.14-587a BUILD: 170207-1317
Installed via ViciBox 7.0.4
Followed the installation guide that comes with Vicibox
EDIT: The phone is using SIP,

check what passwords are set in the config file:
/etc/asterisk/sip-vicidial.conf
This file gets created from your phone configs in Vicidial front-end.

It looks like asterisk (?) has problems with local sip connections (anyone I tried) on my server for some reason, I can however register IAX2 Phones (Zoiper).
Now I only need to actually have sound and ring on the dialer connection
Edit: Corrections

It looks like my two posts were related after all, adding the link to my other post in case someones enters this post looking for the problem stated here.
Refer to
