can anybody please tell me how to configure phone line 8001 on polycom ip 335 phone? because when i enter 8001 its passsword and everything in polycom and reboot it it and it goes to updating initial configuration it says : " could not contact boot server using existing config" , can anyone please advice , i really need help

This is not really a VICIdial issue, it's a Polycom config issue.
Have you ever configured a Polycom before?
Do you have a FTP server set up for it tow download it's config files from?
Did the company you bought the Polycom from send you any instructions for the firmware version that was installed on the phone you bought?

bro i configured a sip account over the same polycom and it works fine but when i configure vicidial phone 8001 over polycom it says unavailable and moreover when i restart it it gives the error: "could not contact boot server using existing config" , how to check if i have a ftp server setuped on vicidial as i bough ta cloud vicidial and paid them for installation, how can i download config automatically over polycom?

We don't do skype.
As for your Polycom, it's looking for a boot server, which is defined in the phone's settings. Whoever sold you your Polycom phones should have supplied you with the configuration documentation and steps to go through to set up an FTP account to serve the config files and firmware that your phones need.

yeah they didnt supplied the manuals.. bro could you please guide me how to setup ftp, just provide me some guidelines and i will do experiments lol
