Impact of Available Only Tally=N and Threshold=Disabled

Postby jkalin1 » Fri Jul 21, 2017 10:48 am

The documentation for the "Available Only Tally Threshold" campaign setting indicates "This setting only works with an ADAPT or RATIO Dial Method, Available Only Tally must be set to N, this setting must be set to something other than DISABLED and the number of agents setting must be above 0.". Within the RATIO dial method, what would the impact be of Available Only Tally=N and Available Only Tally Threshold=DISABLED?

Thanks, Joe

It would be disabled.

So would the system treat the campaign as if Available Only Tally = Y then? Also, what is the algorithm behind RATIO dial method with available only tally = N?

Thank you Matt!

No, it would not.

There is no algorithm behind RATIO dialing, it's a fixed line-to-agent ratio.

Maybe it was a misunderstanding, but Mike or James mentioned yesterday (when they were logged in helping us troubleshoot an issue where the ratio wasn't being followed) that RATIO dialing with available only tally=N uses an algorithm that looks at past calls over the past 10 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour or something like that. I wasn't able to capture exactly what they said as we were working through a production issue. I thought that was strange. I suppose they were referring to predictive dialing?

That's what the ADAPT dial methods do, they recalculate every 15 seconds. RATIO does not, it's fixed.
