There is a Japanese translation available for the Agent Screen, but not the Admin screens. Although, you can add your own translations if you want, it's all dynamic and database driven with a web admin for managing it.

Hi mflorell,

Thank you for the response.

There's a selection in the admin system settings for language source and we need to set it as MYSQL right?

Is there a need to extract the language in mysql before the options to be available?

THanks,

Here is the document explaining how Languages works and where you can download the translation files:

I tried this however it's not giving me the option for change language in the agent screen.

I am using the admin 6666 as a test agent login expecting:

"and if the agent has been given permission to change their own language, then the Agent Login screen will show a Language pull-down menu that will allow the agent to change their agent screen language upon logging in to the agent screen."

No avail.

Do i need to restart services? If so, in what order?

2nd question,

How do I permanently change language of the agent screen via server end?

I attempted to copy the agc_jp content inside the webroot /srv/www/htdocs/www/vicidial/agc_jp/ however, when I checked vicidial.php inside agc_jp, it's empty and i worry it would make things crazy since it will overwrite the existing vicidial.php in the webroot.

admin.php version and build?

Did you enable languages in System Settings?

Do you see "change language" at the top of the admin.php screen?

Hi Sir,

Nevermind, it's working now.

I forgot to set Language Method to MYSQL since I imported phrases from the lang.txt file.

Thanks a lot for the help!

Do we have any resource on how to do it not via language settings in the dialer but in the server instead?

In my method of changing the translations I used phrases by copying from the .txt file to the dialer using import phrase. So basically, the Language method is MYSQL.

I'm wondering if we ever have an updated documentation on how to change the agent screen translation without using the above method, i mean doing it via server end.

I saw a documentation but that was way too outdated by copying the agc_jp from the LANG_www directory to the webroot. Tried it but it didnt work.

I hope im making more sense. :(

Thanks,

There are no static language builds anymore, only dynamic using the database.

So, adding phrases or importing them is the only options we have then huh?

I can live with that. :)

Last question, will vici be having a chinese translation anytime soon tho?

Thanks,

We have a basic Traditional Chinese translation available for the agent screen, it is not as complete as the Japanese one is though.
