Webform tabs CAN NOT be clicked.

Postby JoeyFixxa » Wed Aug 30, 2017 10:46 am

Everything is working fine, and has been for a while now.
In the last two and half weeks , agents "Webform" "Webform 1" and "Webform 3" buttons are not working.

Dealing with customer support now, outruled connection issues already.

Leaning towards browser issue.

Using the latest version of Chrome. Just updated all machines on Sunday.

However, still occuring.

was wondering if anybody has came into this issue and found a fix.

Also looking for a recommendation for a web browser that may work better with vicidial. (Not using webphone)

What does "latest version of Chrome" mean exactly?

I'm running the latest version of Chrome too(Version 60.0.3112.113) and I just tested webform buttons and they all work just fine.

Do you see any errors in the browser console?

What is the vicidial.php version and build you are using?

Latest version available to update from google.

No errors at all.

As soon as I exit chrome and reopen it, relog into vici. Everything will be fine on the next call.
I have 26 reps on the phone right now, it has happened to 6 different machines today.

Everything seems to work fine until the actual call comes on , then they will not be able to click on webform buttons.

Still having this issue.

I Have been working with Vici support.

I removed my QoS in my router because I wanted to outrule http being blocked..

I removed all firewalls.

I changed the browsers on all my machines..

I have the same error logs in the chrome debugger.
The error logs do not seem to point towardss the issue I am having and I have been sending them to ViciSupport every time.
They have not figured out anything.

If it is not something that can be replicated on demand, and it's not something that any of our other clients have experienced, then it would be something that will be very difficult to fix. Have you tried connecting to this system from a different network? And if so, does this problem exist when connecting from that different network?

Error logs being referenced but not visible is a challenge. My experience in this arena, however, suggests that there may be another customization getting in the way. The javascript system detects a flaw, dies, and the portion that would ordinarily create the web form links never runs.

So: Is your system running stock vicidial.php? Do you have any javascript customizations anywhere in your system? A script? Custom forms?

Or other Add-ons that might be interfering. Ad-Blockers like Ad-Block and some other similar ones seem to take out iframes and other html/JS code which appears embedded in another container.

Kindly try and disable all other addons etc and also have you tried with Firefox?
Its an unlikely event but if some of these add-ons install in all browsers, then you may end up with the issue appearing in more than one browser.

I have tried Firefox. Same issues.
Vici has not been able to replicate and devloper can not find problem.

Had up to 5 percent packet loss which was causing other issues but that was due to ISP. We just had a hurricane here.

Webform issue events have dropped significantly.
Where as it was happening several times an hour, before last week. Now is only happening one or two times a day.

I would like to try the other network , unfortunately, not my call. Ownership does not want to try and switch over, even though ownership demands the problem to be fixed.

I have updated all windows, disabled all ad-blocks, tried chrome and firefox, disabled my QOS in mikrotik router.
ran diag on hardware, no issues.

It's looking like this is almost guaranteed to be a network issue. Everything you have mentioned put together points to that, and there is nothing we can do to fix a bad network connection.

Right.
Assumed it was a network issue.
Finally resolved the issue.

Seems the QoS that was installed by the network engineer handling the mikrotik before my arrival did not realize the packet size of the voip would probably cause some issues.
I noticed slight packet drops from queue list and matched them with times of my webform errors.

Disabled QoS.
No Issues.

Thank you.

Thanks for posting the solution!

Yes, QoS is a known problem for VICIdial and VOIP systems in general.

In fact, QoS is usually a horrible idea for about 95% of the organizations that enable it. The best choice is to just say no to QoS.

Very Weird.
It seems to have worked because the problem had rapidly declined.

The webforms being "unclickable" went from happening to about every 5 calls to none at all right after QoS was disabled.

However the next morning, agents reported not being able to click webform issues again..

Still searching for the issue.

I will keep QoS disabled either way.
