So I have two agents that use about 3,000 minutes a day. It costs me $20 a day for minutes plus $40 a month to host the server. So a little over $500 a month making calls 6 days a week. This seems steep for 2 agents, am I wrong? Would it be more cost efficient to pay someone a monthly fee to host my agents, rather than having my own server? Is there cheaper voip providers per minute? We pay .007 per minute. Thanks for any advice

Hi,
As you don't have an higher amount of call time most carriers will stick you on a standard plan. For use to suggest a carrier to use can you give us a bit more information e.g.
Country your dialling?
Landline or mobiles?

We are calling the us. Supposed to be all landlines although I think an occasional cell phone sneaks in. We are also about to rapidly expand to 5 agents and soon after to 10 so the minutes we use is going to go significantly up. Thanks again.

This could be multiple issues with your system. If you collect all the information regarding the call recordings not working you can then post it in the support forums. Please include your system version and specs.

The "unlimited" plans from carriers always have limits in the fine print. Nobody likes to lose $.
You are getting a decent rate per minute. As an example, we charge slightly less, our costs are $0.0065 per minute. We provide wholesale 6 second billing increments as well. So a call that lasts 4 seconds will be billed at 6 seconds.
Call that lasts 8 seconds will be billed at 12 seconds etc...
Be sure to pay attention as you are looking for carrier some charge you for a full minute even if you call lasts 4 seconds.
