Intermittant carrier reporting issues

Good day all.

I am currently running into an issue where the vicidial_carrier_log is only populated in one in every ~1000 calls no matter the hangup reason. Is there a way to tweak this? currently using vicibox on VERSION: 2.14-670a BUILD: 180424-1521 with one carrier and only launching one campaign. I am using remote agents w multiple lines dialed at a 1:1 ratio

1) You posted your Version with Build: Good. Please also post your installation method with Version. If the installation method is not a Vicidial .iso (such as Vicibox), please also post a link to the installation instructions you used.

2) Carrier log is either populated or not based on the setting in admin->servers->(choose server)->Carrier Logging Active

If that's not the case, then you may have a crashed table that kills a process before logging occurs. Try:

mysqlcheck --all-databases --auto-repair --user=cron -p1234

3) If no tables are crashed, consider checking the screens for asterisk and autodial and/or the Vicidial logs in /var/log/astguiclient (which are also activated by a setting in admin->servers) for error notices.

It Is indeed enabled as evidenced by the fact that a small portion of the calls are being logged to the vicidial_carrier_log table, I had checked this multiple times to make sure but only 1 in 1000 or so calls get inserted

That's the "brochure/discussion" description of the installer. The technical version (which you should always use) is something more like 8.X.X.

You could have started by posting the output of screen -list ...? or checking the logs for errors ...? (often the word "error" is a hint ... but other possibilities exist!)

I'm not sure the particular log, but my best guess was the FASTagiout log, there are no errors contained therein for the day and I am currently parsing the rest of the log files (quite large) and will get back to you.

technically, any of those screens could contain errors which could be helpful. Viewing them and seeing if there are any during problem times may prove educational if there is a crash causing the log entries to fail.

This command will show you what's really happening and will show agi script errors if they occur while you're watching:

ctrl-a ctrl-d to exit, and be careful while you're in there as this is the asterisk console which can kill asterisk if you do more than observe and leave

There are also hard-logs (not in a database) in both /var/log/asterisk and /var/log/astguiclient (the latter based on log configuration under admin->servers)

call quality issues are rarely logged.
