ACQS without vicidial/astGUI

Postby sb » Wed Aug 22, 2007 4:34 pm

Hello, I'm new to these forums and was considering using ACQS with asterisk 1.4, but don't necessarily want to use vicidial or the astGUIclient. I havn't found too much documentation regarding ACQS, so I was wondering if it's possible to install it without anything else. It seems that in the current release everything is sort of bundled together.

Anyways, if this is possible, worth/not worth messing with please let me know, I'd appreciate any advice you could give me.

Thanks,

sb

It is posible, you just need to set only the "1" and "2" settings for keepalive in the /etc/astguiclient.conf file.

One issue you will run into is that Asterisk 1.4 has a lot of bugs, and using ACQS shows some of them very well. It does function, but there are problems with Asterisk 1.4 that will cause you problems if you have moderate to high volume on your server.
